Totally disappointing, not worth the $

Tedious and boring. I tried to like it. I played to the end to justify the purchase. But theres really not much to keep the player interested. The majority of time is spent watching your dot move from one part of the map to another...engaging in exhaustingly lengthy conversations about machinery and politics...and trying not to rile your master. The other repetitive actions? Choose your next route, sleep, pull money from the bank, purchase items from the local markets hoping to sell them elsewhere, that is IF you manage to discover the routes to said places, which entails more time consuming and tedious dialogue. May I suggest three other beautiful games instead. Clever puzzle/story games that keep you interested, are truly beautifully crafted and challenging with quirky, amusing storylines. 1. Inner World. 2. Machinarium. 3. Monument Valley.

Simply Amazing

Everything about this game screams amazing, the story pulls you in, and the simplest things like if you should wait a day for the train to Moscow, or take a detour hoping it will save you time.

Wont load

Since the update I cant load this game and it wont delete. Just stays in "waiting" stage.

Best game ever!

This is hands down one of the most entertaining games Ive played in ages! The story is so well written. It is full of unexpected surprises and is delightful and intriguing! I let a friend check it out for a min and he was hooked and bought it right then. Its definitely worth the money!

Lots of fun!

Its definitely challenging and you can lose! Addicting and interesting story lines. Fun even on replay. My kids liked it too. Glad I purchased it.

Best AppStore purchase Ive made

Ive spent hours in the app, and every play through Im surprised and fascinated by the stories you can find by exploring the world. Youre rewarded for being honest and occasionally taking risks, and their are some incredible characters throughout the game. One of the most unique games Ive ever played.

An incredible work of art.

If you are one who is bored of the same garbage the App Store keeps churning out, demanding IAPs and really adding nothing new to the table, look no further than 80 Days. For one, its original. There are choose-your-own adventure games out there already, such as A Dark Room, but this one achieves something more. It feels like a game, while also being an engrossing, emotional story of two people simply trying to go around the world. Along the way, you are met with certain choices that affect the rest of the playthrough. All the while, you have RPG elements such as money, inventory, and trading that give it a video game feel. Even if you are not one for reading, and it is text heavy, you will forget all about that and become immersed in the decisions of these two brave adventurers. Tens of hours of gameplay are offered here. Ive played through twice (I circumnavigated the world in 79 days on my 2nd try) and cannot wait to play it through again. I see myself playing through at least 5 times to maybe see all the game has to offer, but I dont know if even that will suffice. Thats 15 hours of gameplay (or more) for $5. Im very stingy yet still extremely satisfied with my purchase. Thank you for this amazing game, Inkle. Update: Ive now played through the game 6 times (my record is 64 days) and am still amazed by this game. Ive put in at least 20 hours so far. Thank you Inkle for the update that added many more cities and much more text. 6/5 stars.

Superb game

It is more of a choose your own adventure story, on steroids. Every decision you make can take the story in a new direction. There are light rpg elements in the form of health and money management. I failed in my first play though at 84 days. Undeterred, I succeeded at pulling off the trip in 47 days on my 2nd try. I very much look forward to playing again, and perhaps taking this adventure with my children helping guide the decisions along the way.

Incredibly boring

I cant believe I spent money on this. If I wanted to experience the stress of travel and none of the fun, Id just go to work! And the review calling it a work of art surely wasnt referring to the totally static and pedantic graphics. All dialog must be read!! I feel like Im looking at the earliest dos-based adventure games. Worse than a waste of time--a waste of money and space on my device! Can I give it NO stars?

Amazing

I dont normally write reviews but this game is amazing. Wonderful story telling experience, in the form of a choose your own adventure! The recent content update makes it even better!

Great game!

A total blast, great re-play ability. I love Jules Verne and this is good twist off his novel.

Ive played it again and again

I love this game - the storytelling is top notch and there are so many forks in the road that you really can play it again and again. Sometimes you even catch glimpses of characters from a different perspective the next time around. If you enjoy a little steam punk adventuring and you dont mind reading (maybe not a great choice for the bus if you get carsick from reading, for example) this is a gem.

Great game but..

I wish it saved to the cloud so I could play it on multiple devices

2 thumbs up!

Indisputably one of the most brilliant on the appstore. Creativity is unchained and flourishes in this game. Outstanding!

Incredibly fun!

The title says it all

Hate it

I do not recommend this game for people who like reading

Near infinite replay value.

Got this game a while ago and when Im not traveling Ill pick it up to get myself in the mood for adventure. There are thousands and thousands of options and what you do in one city will affect how you act in the next. With thirty play through I still havent gotten the same story twice.

HORRIBLE GAME

When I got it I thought you could move around and do stuff. In reality you just read, touch the screen, and sit there. SINCE WHEN JS THERE READING IN A GAME!!!

A wonderful adventure!

Played through twice now and have had fun both times. Although the lack of instructions might frustrate some, being thrown into the adventure just like the protagonist is quite fitting. Both of my adventures so far have been unique as Ive purposely taken different routes, and there are still plenty of ways I havent gone yet. This is a "choose your own adventure" style game, so if you dont like reading, this game might not be for you.

80 days review

Overall a good game and very challenging. Excellent learning tool for geography and global cities. Just 1 down side is that is too wordy, other then that absolutely no complains
